If you've been considering multiple treatments, combining them into a single trip can save significant money on travel while knocking out your entire medical wishlist at once.

The key is planning the sequence correctly. Not all procedures can overlap — recovery zones, medication interactions, and scheduling logistics need to be coordinated.

LASIK + Dental: The Natural Combination

This is the most popular multi-procedure pairing, and it works seamlessly. LASIK and dental work involve completely different body systems with zero recovery overlap. A typical combined schedule looks like this:

An in-person consultation gives you a physical examination, realistic expectations discussion, and quoted pricing — all more valuable than a virtual consult.

Scheduling LASIK and a cosmetic surgery in the same trip requires more planning. Most plastic surgeons require you to stop certain medications before cosmetic surgery, and the recovery demands are higher. If you want both, the typical approach is: LASIK first (quick recovery), return home, plan the cosmetic surgery as a separate trip once your eyes have fully healed.

LASIK + Dermatology and Aesthetics

Non-surgical aesthetic treatments pair well with a LASIK trip. Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and laser skin treatments (different laser, different purpose) can all be scheduled around your LASIK recovery without conflict. What NOT to Combine

Avoid scheduling any procedure that requires general anesthesia within the same week as LASIK. Similarly, avoid combining LASIK with any procedure that requires you to lie face-down during recovery (some back surgeries, certain retinal procedures) — face-down positioning in the first week after LASIK puts pressure on the healing corneal flap.
